R' Moshe Feinstein Zt"l (1895-1986) was a towering figure in 20th-century Orthodox Judaism, renowned for his vast Torah scholarship and his role as one of the leading poskim (decisors of Jewish law) of his time. Born in Belarus, he moved to New York in 1937, where he became the head of Mesivtha Tifereth Jerusalem. His thousands of responsa, compiled in "Igros Moshe," addressed modern halachic issues with profound insight and compassion, impacting Jewish practice worldwide. His ability to navigate complex contemporary issues while maintaining traditional values made him a beloved leader, respected for his wisdom, humility, and kindness.
